Diana's Story
Diana Croft has been using her creative gifts for over 30 years!

Born in the Southwest of England, Diana started school in Birmingham before moving to the West Coast of Scotland at the age of 6. After school, she returned to England where she trained as a classical musician at Dartington College of Arts continuing to Mountview Theatre School in London to train as an actor. She is very proud to have roots on both sides of the border and classifies herself as a “Dual dialect.” This has given her an adeptness with accents that has served her well in her craft.
Training as an actor and a musician allowed her to collaborate closely with the Olivier Award-winning director Bob Carlton and the esteemed Actor-Muso company, Cut to the Chase where she appeared in such productions as Return to the Forbidden Planet, Ken Hill’s Phantom of the Opera and Chris Bond’s original script for Sweeney Todd to name a few!
Her extensive theatre background includes performances in West End productions and regional theatres across the UK, spanning diverse genres from Shakespearean plays to musical theatre.
As an award-winning audiobook narrator, Diana has narrated 150+ titles since 2015. Her diverse portfolio includes narrations across various genres; however, she specializes in Fantasy, Thrillers, and Historical Fiction.
She is best known for her emotional range and ability to bring complex, versatile characters to life, combining strong storytelling instincts with nuanced vocal techniques allowing her to craft distinct, believable character voices, while maintaining narrative clarity and emotional authenticity.
One of Diana’s proudest achievements to date is narrating four series for the author TJ Green across the same universe, allowing her to voice a huge cast of over 50 recurring characters across a range of ages, accents, personalities and species.
Croft has received the Gold IPPY Award for Best Audiobook Performance in 2020, was a One Voice Awards finalist for Best Female Audiobook Performance in 2021 and secured the Sultry Listeners Award Runner-Up position for Best Historical Fiction in 2022.
Outside the booth you might find Diana chatting with her chickens while she gathers the eggs or on the mat practicing Karate where she is currently training for her black belt!
Diana is most proud of being a mum to her son and a passionate advocate for the autism community. Although her son is now 22, her role as his strongest supporter has never changed. She continues to champion his rights and works to ensure he has the resources and respect he deserves.
